Why Choose an Assessment?
Sometimes families notice patterns in their child’s behavior that feel confusing, intense, or difficult to manage. A behavioral assessment helps move beyond guesswork by identifying what may be influencing your child’s reactions, emotions, and behaviors. By looking closely at patterns, triggers, and the purpose the behavior may serve, an assessment provides a clearer understanding of your child’s needs. This insight helps guide practical strategies, support emotional regulation, and foster more effective responses at home and in school.

Therapeutic Behavior Assessment
With specialized training in behavior and assessment, I provide therapeutic behavioral assessments to better understand your child’s behavior within real-life environments. This process involves careful observation, collaboration with parents, and, when appropriate, input from teachers to gather a full picture of how your child navigates daily experiences. Together, we look for patterns in antecedents, behaviors, and consequences, while exploring the possible function of behaviors such as impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, or challenges that may have developed over time. Rather than focusing on labels or blame, this approach invites curiosity and compassion, helping families better understand what the behavior may be communicating.
The goal of this process is to create meaningful and practical change. Through evidence-informed principles from applied behavior analysis, we explore motivation, reinforcement, generalization, and data-informed decision-making to guide progress. From this understanding, we develop measurable and individualized therapeutic plans that support both the child and the family. Parents receive guidance and coaching to respond intentionally rather than reactively, while building greater confidence and clarity when challenges arise. My role is to walk alongside you to help us better understand your child together and develop compassionate strategies that support growth, connection, and positive change for the whole family.
